Ventura County Police Officers arrested 53 year-old man on suspicion of indecent exposure. The individual was arrested after a 23 year-old female called police. The women, a resident of Ventura, reported a man lying down in an apartment complex carport masturbating next to her car.

Ventura Police arrested the man, suspected to be homeless, without further incident. He is currently being held at the Ventura County Jail awaiting a court appearance.

In California, indecent exposure is codified under California Penal Code Section 314. Indecent exposure can be charged as either a misdemeanor or felony, and among other things, carries a punishment of up to one year in either state prison or county jail.
